Clarification of Grades on Infinite Campus
For most of our parents, they use the Infinite Campus System religiously and check student grades often. However, we do have about 50, or so parents who want us to mail these grades out to them, se we need to print them off. When I noted last week in this space, that we needed grades on the IC system by the close of school on Friday, April 11, I did not have these folks in mind. Therefore, I would ask all to have all of the student grades on the IC system by the end of the day on Thursday to provide us time to print those report cards that we need to put in the mail at the end of the day on Friday.
Thanks for understanding.
April 2nd Early Release Day for Students
Tracy Williamson has worked tirelessly assigning students to their desired choices of workshops they will attend. I know that this is a difficult job (certainly one I could never do!). I would like to ask all of us to support Tracy in this work by not sending kids out to change their selections at the last minute. This will alleviate some of the stress of doing this.
You all should have received the listing of the workshops and where the students should be from Tracy.
Also, I know that many of you have been contacted about the use of your classrooms, and thank you for helping with this. It will be very important that we have adults in each of these rooms with our students on the very remote chance that one of our kids might act inappropriately.
April 2 Early Release Day for Teachers
As I mentioned at our last Teacher Workshop day, the task for Wednesday afternoon for all teachers is to work on something that you have wanted to work on during the school year but have not been able to find the time to do it! In the parlance of the business world, this is called a FedEx Day. However, also in the business the world, folks have 24 hours to make the “delivery”, unfortunately, you will only have the afternoon to work on your projects.
The only “must” in all of this is that you need to “deliver” a product at the end of this time. I am looking forward to seeing what you all “deliver”.
This year we have a couple of selections for our students when buying a yearbook. We will be offering a soft cover yearbook, exactly the same as the hard cover book but at a reduced rate for our students. There will also be the chance for parents to purchase up by personalizing the front cover of the yearbook with the name and picture of their child embossed on the cover.
In any event, please remind all students that orders can be made here at school by completing the order form and giving it to the office, or they can complete the order on line at the Lifetouch Web site for ordering. Online orders may be placed here. The Yearbook ID Code is 3788214.
